Structural Steel Pipes
Rejected pipe which cannot be classified as a prime product because
of some physical or chemical defect is sold by the mills to steel
pipe distributors, distributors of steel products, fabricators, and
consumers. These pipe is available in CW, ERW, DSAW and seamless,
in all sizes, weights, and classes of material. Although reject
pipe carries no warranty whatsoever, it can have application for
structural purpose.
Few of the typical examples where reject pipe has been used as
structural steel tubing and pipes are handrails, columns, posts,
piling, sand-wash, casing, culverts, fence, caissons, sign poles,
bumpers, bracing, parking meter posts, towers, supports, rollers,
etc. Structural steel pipes and tubing are normally priced
substantially under prime pipe and can affect large savings in the
right application.
Steel Fencing
Owing to its high tensile strength, steel fencing is extensively
used as architectural and landscape furnishings at many industrial,
commercial and recreational sites around the world. Fence
fabricated from steel, are robotically welded, then hot-dip
galvanized and polyester powder coated. This makes various fencing
components, such as mesh, bolts, hooks and gates, extremely
durable. This process afford maximum durability with minimal
compromising of surface smoothness. Matching liquid paint is
provided for final touch-up.
Architects and landscape architects have used steel fencing to
design a variety of shelters, lighting standards and decorative
sculptures for street-scapes, parks, bus and light rail stops,
shopping centers, malls, sports stadiums, office buildings, parking
lots and other facilities. Steel fence are carefully designed with
clean lines, structural integrity and ease of installation. These
fences are available in variety of heights and widths in multiple
configurations.
Steel Handrails
Hand rails made from steel has gained worldwide acclaim, as it
provides excellent resistance against corrosion and weathering.
While manufacturing, steel handrails are subjected to close
scrutiny in terms of design details, finishes, and authenticity.
Steel handrails last for years and their upkeep is minimal.
Stainless steel handrails are generally wall mounted and come with
adaptable fittings that enable it to be installed without special
measuring. It is easily installed at any location and can be
produced to meet any conditions.
The use of steel handrails is both varied and functional. They are
used for protection, crowd control and often just for visual and
ornamental effects. Used widely in office blocks, shopping &
town centres, swimming pools and leisure centres, these handrails
are available in various sizes, styles and colors to fit any
application. The colors and finishes available assure the
possibility of matching or contrasting with individual color
choices. Steel handrails can also be used throughout the home to
provide safety and help prevent falls along hallways, steps and
ramps.
Steel Columns
A vertical element , a column is that part of a structure whose
purpose is to compress the weight of the structure. Steel columns
have seen an increased usage in building structures throughout the
world. Derived from a multi-step manufacturing process, steel
columns are used to distribute loads over a supporting pier, wall
or foundation, while constructing commercial or residential
buildings. Steel provide high temperature stability, highly inert
deactivated inner surface and exceptional mechanical durability to
the columns.
Steel columns are being increasingly used for structural
applications, due to its aesthetic appearance, high corrosion
resistance, ease of maintenance and ease of construction. They are
perfect for field use or high vibration situations, as these
columns cannot break. These heavily loaded columns are used in
multi-storey buildings to support beams or arches and in the design
of other civil engineering structures, which employ composite
design techniques.
Steel Stove Pipes
Heavy-duty steel stove pipe is designed for use in the residential
and commercial coal & wood burning units, and is intended for
interior use only. In many industrial, as well as public and
domestic applications, the stove pipes are exposed to elevated
temperatures. Steel stove pipe is preferred due to its high creep
strength and ductility, with high resistance to oxidation and HT
corrosion and good resistance to erosion-corrosion.
Apart from gas & some oil applications, steel stove pipe is
popularly designed to connect a wood stove to a nearby chimney, and
is available in different thicknesses. It is usually painted with a
high temperature black paint and some manufacturers produce steel
stovepipe in porcelain enamel colors to match their stoves. The
welded seams of these pipes assure the pipes roundness, making
installation a very easy task. Steel stove pipes is much lighter
